In addition to weight gain and cavities, research shows that regular and diet soda contribute to heart issues. According to a study published in the American Heart Association publication called Circulation<\/em>, study participants that drank the most sugar sweetened soda had a 20 percent higher risk of coronary heart disease when compared to those whose drank the least.<\/span><\/p>\n And for those drinking diet soft drinks, you’re not out of the woods either. A study in the Journal of General Internal Medicine<\/em> suggests that consuming diet soft drinks daily increases your risk of suffering a vascular heart related event.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
